A silent object enters the sky. The world answers with fire — and discovers, too late, that some things cannot be destroyed, only released. What fell to Earth did not conquer. It resonated: finding ten thousand souls and the shadows they already carried.

Issue #1 is the canon origin of the NOX collection. The ten thousand souls the entity chose are the ten thousand NOX — the incoming 10,000-piece flagship collection. Every NOX is one of them.
